We have never seen Mindy Kaling so fascinating.
The Hollywood hyphen swapped his white-hot Vera Wang number from Sunday’s Oscars 2023 red carpet for a slinky metallic sequin number that mimicked the look of chainmail at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party later in the day. night.
Kaling – who is believed to have lost more than 40 pounds in recent years by altering her diet and exercise routine – looked svelte in the plunging number as she posed for photographers.
The “Never Have I Ever” creator, 43, also changed her hairstyle for the star-studded evening, swapping her half-up, half-down hairstyle from the ceremony for a sleek, straight asymmetrical bob.
While most people applauded Kaling’s glamorous outfit after the party – calling it ‘gorgeous’, ‘flawless’ and ‘spectacular’ on Twitter – others were concerned to see her look so slim, with many wondering if she could have used the diabetes drug Ozempic to do so.
“And the Oscar goes to Ozempic for outstanding performance in all categories,” a jokedwhile another added“Man, those Ozempic parties really paid off.”
Writing a third, more disappointed fan, “Adele. Lawrence Ash. Mindy Kaling. Rebel Wilson. All the old “body positive”, “love yourself”, “size doesn’t matter” who went to lose weight by doing things like “de-stress” and “eat whatever I want”. No wonder us normals are so crazy about weight.
Indeed, the “Mindy Project” alum said she didn’t starve herself to lose weight.
“I eat what I like to eat. If I do any type of restrictive diet, it never really works for me. I just eat less of it,” Kaling told “Entertainment Tonight” in 2022.
“I wish there was something more juicy or dynamic about the way I lost some weight, but that’s how I did it.”
Kaling decided to lose weight after welcoming her second child in September 2020.
