Ryan Edwards and his wife, Mackenzie, have officially announced their departure amid their ongoing legal issues.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Mackenzie filed for divorce on Monday after six years of marriage.
The 27-year-old – who previously had a restraining order against the ‘Teen Mom’ alum – was also granted a restraining order and temporary custody of their son Jagger, 4, and daughter Stella, 3 years.
The update comes just days after Tennessee police issued two arrest warrants for Ryan: one for “harassing” his wife and another for violating her protective order.
Their divorce comes after Ryan was arrested for harassing Mackenzie after he posted X-rated images of her online and suggested she cheated on him earlier this month.
“If you’ve never seen a spineless bitch this is one,” he wrote in the since-deleted Instagram post. “They take your money sleeping with everything that looks at them. But they must have a wife for (sic). God what a joke. It’s truly sad.
Mackenzie then turned himself in to police and detailed a series of recent alleged domestic violence incidents that occurred between the two.
“While arguing, Ryan punched holes in walls and doors. (He) held me by the neck against the wall. Threw me in the hallway and said if he can’t get me, nobody can,’ Mackenzie told law enforcement of an alleged fight in early January.
“Pocket knife open, put in my back like he was going to kill me. It was in front of kids. I tried to leave, he broke my phone, took my car keys,” she said. for follow-up.
The mother-of-two also claimed Ryan, 35, threw minty nicotine in her eyes and threatened to punch her in the face in a separate incident.
Ryan – who also shares 14-year-old son Bentley with ’16 & Pregnant’ star Maci Bookout – has been in trouble with the law for years.
In March 2018, the former reality TV star was arrested for violating his probation on a heroin-related charge, leading Bookout, 31, to also get a restraining order against him.
That same year, he was arrested for possession of heroin and ended up spending a few months in prison.
